The higher you climb, the less it is about you, the more it is about your team.

That's the most important thing I've learned over the years.

I truly believe that building good people is as important as creating good work. That's why I thrive on empowering people to discover their creative potentials. My style is to listen, question, guide, and strengthen. My team’s achievements #sparkjoy for me.

I hope that in my career as an ad woman, I can lead more creatives to be great thinkers, nurturers, and leaders.

How I lead:

  • Encourage open collaboration regardless of title and department.

  • Create opportunities for teammates to shine beyond their roles.

  • Listen and build upon ideas with potential.

  • Collaborate as a peer when I need to, make decisions as a leader when I have to.

  • Guide teammates to think out of the box, strategically.

  • Have conversations with my team about their individual well-being in and out of work.

The clients at Maxis have very high expectations. After hearing that my predecessors didn't last very long on the job, I knew I was in for a real challenge. On a daily basis, I'm challenged to:
 

  • be a strategic, creative, innovative unicorn;

  • nurture young creatives and guide them to break out of their boxes;

  • and create work that's insightful and meaningful.
     

Thanks to my very supportive and collaborative team and clients, I'm still here.

Applied for the Senior Copywriter position, got offered Head of Copy. I said yes, panicked, then quickly learned to be a leader.

 

I was tasked to guide and nurture the copywriters. and improve the overall quality of work
in the creative department. I was also actively involved in pitches and award submissions as well as initiatives to improve the company's culture.
